My blog
Hi, my name is Elena. I am not the best person and I'm not really important.
I like cats but dogs are ok. I love to draw, write, play video games, and read.
I am hoping to pass 8th grade to go to high school and go to college.
I think I'm going good in biology but I'm not sure why, I think I'm not good enough.

Literacy history
I can't remember what my first book book was but my mom who was the one who read to me and helped me learn how to read, also my dad. I felt happy because I can finally read on my without any one helping me nor reading the book to me.
I was finally got to read chapter books instead of kids books. I hated reading At first but then I slowly started loving it. I also can't remember the first book I read on my own.

Night John
Hi, my name is Elena Sanchez and I'm a slave. I couldn't write or read but i did now how to talk and work. I couldn't write or read because my master thought it would make me smarter and help me escape from him. Everyday, I had to wake up early in the morning to feed the master's kids and work. I really didn't know how to spend my time. I couldn't write or read. I tried to learn how to write once but my master caught and beat me. That was the last time I tried to write. I could try again but I'm afraid I could be beaten my master.

Theme
Title: I need my monster
The conflict of "I Need My Monster" is that a boy was missing his monster named Gabe who went out for fishing for the week. The boy was devastated because he couldn't fall asleep without Gabe. To fix his problem, he summoned 4 different types of monsters but none of the monsters were working out for him. The kid wanted a monster that had a long claws, long tail and scary sounds but none of those monsters had either or both. The monsters told the kid that he was being picky. The theme is: Change is difficult.

Paraphrasing
Notes
Paragraph
Paragraph
- 200,000 year ago= risk taking
- Few people survived
- Different personalities
Paragraph 2
- Teenagers= more challenges
- Me experience= new risks
- Risk taking= depend on personality
Paraphrase
Paragraph 1
Years ago, people took challenges that were a bit too risky. If you're lucky, you might survive. Though, everyone has different personalities, so not everyone wants to do the risk taking.
Paragraph 2
When you see new challenges, your Brain may wants to do to the risky challenge. Though, your brain probably doesn't want to do to the risky challenge but that's depending what kind of personality you have. Also teenagers, their brains also want to do the risk taking but then again it all depends on your personality.
